If can give zero stars, i would. This place will not help you. I called The Safe Place after an incident when I had to call the police on my abuser. I called the Safe Place about a week after the incident against me, to see if they offered any type of free counseling services for myself to start on my healing journey. The woman on the phone asked for my contact information and my story of what happened. After telling her, she informed me that since my child was home at the time I was physically abused, she was mandated to report ME to CPS. So, now I am under investigation by CPS, although I was the only victim here of domestic violence. This place caused me more trouble and more stress. They did not help me one bit. They are useless. They created more problems for me and my innocent child who does not want to talk to or see strangers from CPS. HORRIBLE PLACE AND WORKERS. STAY AWAY AND JUST HELP YOURSELF.

This is the same place that says "reach out to us if you need any extra help" but are mandated reporters to CPS lol their a joke...to all my mothers out there. do not ask these people for help..they dont understand the struggle what so ever and will call on you causing unnecessary drama in your "alrdy tryna get my life together" moment

Staff are all wonderful - from therapists to advocates to hotline workers who are all knowledgeable and compassionate. They offer many services for victims of domestic violence, adults and children.
