We treat all patients as individuals wholly in body, soul, and spirit. We integrate the family into the treatment of our patients because one builds on the other, and this is healthy for society. We cooperate with fertility because it is a natural, healthy function, and not a disease to be repressed. Children are gifts, and therefore joys. We affirm your children in their dignity as temples of the Holy Spirit, encouraging healthy opportunities in physical, emotional, and spiritual growth. We welcome all patients including the physically, emotionally, spiritually or financially underserved.

I highly recommend Tepeyac. I’ve had the privilege to work with all the doctors and midwives during my pregnancy and have overall been very pleased with my care. Additionally, the office staff has been wonderful to work with, and worked to resolve some billing/insurance issues. Overall, I highly recommend Tepeyac.

This past Friday I had the honor of meeting and speaking to the founder of Tepeyac. He is an amazing and talented doctor who truly cares about every patient that is served by Tepeyac. I loved his insight on "going green" to find alternatives to many of the harmful prescription drugs that are routinely provided by other doctors. I also loved his insight on protecting the patient, while attacking the disease.

I had Dr. Lorna L. Cvetkovich for an appointment/exam. I told her I'd never had a pelvic exam before and had a lot of anxiety around it. She asked me if I experience pain with sex. I told her yes, I did experience pain with part of it. She told me it was normal and that if I have had sex before then I would be fine. During the exam I was in pain and told her I was in pain. I started crying. She said, "I am sorry" and continued anyway. While I was crying on her exam table, she not once bothered to pause to ask me if I was okay or if she needed to take a break. After/during the exam, she told me my issue seemed to be anatomical, the way I was built. While I was still crying, I had to point out that even if the issue is anatomical, my issue was only an issue for the past one year, not my entire life. She made no effort to understand my issue further and was quick to pass judgement. Then told me, well we really should get you in for a pap smear, don't worry, I have a smaller speculum I can use. If she thinks I am coming back to her, she is either out of her mind, or just oblivious. I am not sure which is worse.
It doesn’t matter how busy you are and how qualified you are, if you have a patient crying in front of you during your examination, you need to stop and check in, ESPECIALLY when it’s as sensitive as a pelvic exam. It was demoralizing and I felt like I had been violated. The lack of care and compassion was unreal. It has been days since my exam, and I am now experiencing panic attacks because of it.
As patients we put trust in our medical providers and for them to be so careless that they cause harm to their patients is very upsetting.
